Cypher is a payments/collection/EFT bureau establised in 1989, for the processing of debit/credit orders into the South African Banking system. The adage that 'Time is money' has never proven more true. The 2008 Delotte Outsourcing Advisory Services LLP determined that 'a large percentage of companies utilizing outsourcing reached their financial objectives and averaged a return on investment (ROI) of more than 25 percent.'

The same survey also metions that the most difficult part of outsourcing lies in determining where to place that trust, but outlined that 'it appears that companies that implement outsourcing programs with proper financial analyses, methodologies and governance strategies can overcome many of the shortcomings identified. The shortcomings the report referes to was based almost entirely on the issues of trust, as was confirmed in a survey done in co-operation with Encompass Global Technologies, where Fmlink discovered that 'By far, the most difficult aspect of outsourcing was Contractor Selection.' and yet, despite that obstacle, it was held that less than 24% of respondents claimed that they would return to in-house facilities, simply because 'The two largest reasons (for outsourcing) by far were Cost and Service Quality; other choices included Oversight and Control, Response Time, and Time Savings.'

How do I get my payroll changes / information to Cypherpay?

You can e-mail all your changes on a monthly basis, alternatively, you can upload this information via our website.

How do I know that my changes have actually been implemented?

You will receive a payroll reconciliation to sign off for each payrun reflecting all the changes that you have made.

Can I get reports that suit my business and that are not just general reports?

Yes!! Remember that this is YOUR payroll… we just process it for you. We are here to assist you with your business and we will customise the reports to suit your needs.

What if I want additional services to the list of services currently offered ?

No problem! This is still YOUR payroll and we will do all we can to ensure that you get exactly what you want… if not more!

Can I upload payroll file into my GL monthly?

Yes! We will give you a file to match your accounting package and you can upload the file… it’s that simple.

Why should I use you when my business is in Durban or Cape Town?

Simply put – you cannot afford NOT to use us. We have clients all over South Africa. With technology you are not at a disadvantage, you receive the same efficient service that any of our clients in Johannesburg do. Should you have any special needs and are outside of Johannesburg, please contact our payroll manager to assist you.

Do I need to wait for tax year-end to for Cypherpay to process my payroll?

We will take over running your payroll at any time of the year! We will work closely with initially to assist you in coping with your all the time you will now have available and also in dealing with a reduced stress level.

Are there any obligations to getting a quote?

No. Get a quote and see that service excellence and reasonable fees are not a myth! We believe that just because you are a SME and don’t have the ‘big business leverage’,  that you don’t need to be penalised. We are here for everyone!
